Learning guitar
My aim is to help and encourage my students to learn guitar, and practical musicianship. I also help students to develop their ear for music, and creativity, with expert guidance.
Students will progress at their own speed through the various levels of learning, every student is treated as an individual and will be taught 1:1 in a happy, comfortable environment, either at a teaching base, in their own home (limited availability) or at their school. Learning is also allowed to involve creativity and be fun.

What you need to do
The students who progress quickest and get the most out of learning guitar are willing to do the following.
Regular lessons
Most of my students will have 30 minute lessons on a fortnightly basis. You will need to be able to commit to a series of lessons to see progress.
Practicing between lessons
To learn any instrument you need to be willing to practice between lessons. I’d recommend a minimum of 2 hours practise a week.
Open to learning
Learning to play a new instrument takes time and patience. You will find that some of the skills you pick up quickly while others may take longer.

What is the length of your lessons?
Lessons usually last 30 minutes on a fortnightly basis.
What ages do you teach?
From around age 8 to adults of any age.
A good beginner’s age is around 8, depending on the individual.
What styles of music do you teach or cover?
I teach a large variety of styles of music, including Pop, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Indie, Reggae and Country.
